Privacy Policy for AICHI

Last Updated: June 15, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how AICHI collects, uses, stores, and discloses information from users of the AICHI application (&quotService&quot).

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your information.

1. IMPORTANT NOTE ON SCREEN DATA & PRIVACY

AICHI is designed as a real-time AI assistant that, when activated by you, processes the content displayed on your laptop screen (&quotScreen Data&quot) to provide immediate assistance.

CRITICAL POINTS REGARDING SCREEN DATA:

  • Real-time Processing, NOT Persistent Storage (By Default): When AICHI's streaming mode is active, Screen Data is processed in real-time by the AI model to understand context and formulate responses. Unless explicitly stated otherwise (e.g., if you opt-in for diagnostic data collection or specific AI training programs), this Screen Data is NOT persistently stored on our servers or systems. It is ephemeral, used for immediate analysis, and then discarded.
  • Your Control: You retain full control over when AICHI's streaming mode is activated and what content is displayed on your screen.
  • Your Responsibility: You are solely and fully responsible for any information, personal data, or sensitive content that you choose to display on your screen while AICHI's streaming mode is active. We cannot control, nor are we liable for, the nature of the data you choose to share with AICHI through screen observation.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect various types of information to provide and improve our Service:

2.1. Information You Provide Directly:

  • Account Data: When you create an account, purchase the Service, or interact with us, you may provide personal information such as your name, email address, payment information (processed securely by third-party payment processors), and contact details.
  • Direct Queries: Any text or voice input, and screen data you provide directly to AICHI through its query interface.

2.2. Information Collected Automatically (Usage Data):

  • Service Usage Data: Information about how you use the Service, such as features accessed, interactions with AICHI, session duration, and frequency of use. This helps us understand user behavior and improve the app.
  • Device Information: Technical data about your device, including operating system, device type, unique device identifiers, IP address, and browser type. This is used for compatibility, security, and analytics.
  • Performance Data: Information on the performance and stability of the AICHI application on your device, including crash reports.

2.3. Screen Data (Processed, NOT Stored by Default):

  • As described in Section 1, visual and textual information from your screen is processed in real-time. This processing is essential for AICHI's functionality (e.g., understanding the content of a document, code, or web page to provide contextual help).
  • No Personal Identification: Our systems are designed to process this data for contextual understanding, not to identify individuals from the content of their screen or to link specific screen content to your personal identity in stored records.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the collected information for various purposes, primarily to provide, maintain, and improve the Service:

  • To Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate AICHI's core functionalities, including real-time screen analysis, contextual assistance, and responding to your direct queries.
  • To Personalize Your Experience: To tailor AICHI's suggestions and responses to your apparent needs and learning style over time.
  • To Improve and Develop the Service: To understand how users interact with AICHI, identify areas for improvement, and develop new features. This may involve analyzing aggregated and anonymized usage patterns.
  • For Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries, provide technical support, and address any issues you may encounter.
  • For Security and Fraud Prevention: To protect the integrity and security of our Service and to detect, prevent, and address technical issues or illegal activities.
  • For Analytics and Research: To perform internal analytics, research, and statistical analysis to understand user demographics, app performance, and market trends. This is typically done on an aggregated and anonymized basis.
  • To Send You Updates: To provide you with important notices, updates, or information related to the Service (e.g., changes to Terms, new features).

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We may share your information with third parties in the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We may engage third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, provide services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment processing, customer support, AI capabilities, cloud operation), or assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties are granted access to your Personal Information solely to perform these tasks on our behalf. However, you acknowledge and agree that we do not have direct control over how these third-party providers specifically process, store, or otherwise handle your data once it is transmitted to their systems. Their use of your data is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies, which you are strongly encouraged to review. By using the Service, you accept this inherent risk associated with such third-party processing.

  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
  • Business Transfers: If AICHI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your Personal Information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
  • With Your Consent: We may disclose your Personal Information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

5. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY

  • Screen Data: As stated in Section 1, Screen Data is processed in real-time and is not persistently stored by default. Any temporary processing occurs in volatile memory essential for immediate operation.
  • Other Data: Other information we collect (Account Data, Usage Data, Device Information, Direct Queries) is stored on secure servers. We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction.
  • No Guarantees: However, please remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

  • The Right to Access: Request access to the Personal Information we hold about you.
  • The Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information.
  • The Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your Personal Information under certain conditions.
  • The Right to Withdraw Consent: Where we rely on your consent to process your Personal Information, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.

However, please be aware that withdrawing consent for data processing activities, which are fundamental to the operation of AICHI, will result in the immediate loss of your access to and usability of the AICHI Service.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the contact details provided below.

7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18 without parental or guardian consent. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from Children.
